Our Story

Foxprint was created in 1984, driven by a passion for good design, typography and print, with the aim of combining the speed and user-friendliness of instant print shop. It had, and still has, the quality and craftsmanship of a traditional printers.

From humble beginnings

Its beginnings were humble, with just an old offset duplicator and a 1960s letterpress printing machine housed in a 20 square metre workshop in Factory Street, Shepshed.

The formula was successful and the company grew, gradually re-equipping to meet clients needs including becoming one of the first companies in the UK to invest in colour digital printing.

Evolution is in our blood

In 2004 the company moved into a new direction under the new ownership of Anne-Mari Niemela. This is where the old Foxprint ended and the new Foxprint began. A lot has changed since then, but what always has stayed the same is our great personal service and we think that all of our customers deserve great quality print at a fair price.

We offer so much more than just the average print shop: our cutting-edge Digital printing equipment allows us to give our customers the very best print available to fit their needs while continuing to invest in the most important part of our business: our customers – who make what we do possible.

Anne-Mari

Managing Director

Since being young, I have always been driven by adventure, gaining new experiences with no fear in life; that is how I arrived in the UK.

Over 30 years ago, I was an inexperienced exchange student and now a proud owner of FoxPrint Ltd. Having owned it since 2004, its blueprints are a part of me and I am endlessly proud of FoxPrint’s tenacity and spirit. It must be that ‘Viking’ determination! I endeavour to be a positive female role model to both my children and my staff and enjoy the ‘small business’ ménage!

Anne-Mari’s top tips:

  1. Believe in yourself, especially through the bad times.
  2. Look after yourself; develop ‘me time’ that you stick to every week
  3. Surround yourself with people who lift, motivate, and inspire you

Olivia

Accounts Manager

Olivia is an integral part of Foxprint and contributes to many areas from the office, phones, accounts, finishing to deliveries. She did all this while simultaneously studying Criminology at Sheffield Hallam University. Her busy social life, academia and job fit with her strong work ethic and individuality. Olivia has been part of Foxprint for most of her life and knows its journey inside out.

Mark

Production Supervisor

Mark’s experience of printing and finishing is extensive. Having worked in print for over 30 years, there’s nothing you can’t ask him to tackle head on. Balancing his work life with his family, Mark’s a well known face around here – his friendly and reliable nature makes him an all round asset to the team. He’d always be welcoming to any customer or colleague, ready with a brew to regale them with his knowledge and life stories!

Luke

Operations  Manager

Luke arrived at Foxprint a young and inexperienced 22 year old in 2008. From stacking boxes to operating machines to deliveries to management, Luke has worked his way up and done everything in between. To say he has grown up with this company would be an understatement. Luke has seen and been part of many changes in Foxprint and is particularly proud of its journey and his. He has been told (and feels like!) he is part of the furniture at Foxprint and will continue to support it and build into the future.

Simon

Graphic Designer

Simon is our Head of Graphic Design and thrives in the deadline driven environment. An integral and somewhat behind the scenes part of the high standard of services from Foxprint, Simon loves his job; it has always felt like a continuation of his art lessons at school – he tells all his friends that his job is “colouring in”! Simon welcomes a new brief and any new projects to get his teeth into.
